A year and another child later

So...haven't posted in over a year but what can I say but I've been busy. Meet our newest addition:
Caleb James Alexander
9lbs, 0 oz
19.75 Inches Long
September 7, 2010

I wanted to have a VBAC so I read all the books, got a doula, bought birth supplies and many natural products to help ripen my cervix. Then I waited and waited and nothing, no contractions, nada. Went for a sonogram after my due date and they scared me with the prediction of a very large baby so I set a c-section date for a week later if he hadn't come. I then tried many things not excluding enemas and castor oil to go into labor. Nothing happened and c-section day came. Oh well, baby Caleb came out right away although Doc said my uterus just laid there and didn't respond kinda like I had had twins or something. Might explain the no contractions part. Caleb is healthy and happy so sometimes God has different plans.

Bad Blogger

I desire to have a cool blog that everyone wants to be a fan of but then I get home after working all day and have a hundred other things to do. Oh well, I guess I will just keep blog stalking. Is it weird to get jealous of other blogs? I haven't blogged much since I starting working full-time at The Parenting Cottage in January. I make home visits with families that have children under 5 and help them develop and get ready for school. It is hard work but very rewarding. My Noah bear is 1 1/2 years old!!

Gotta love that tushie!!

Awesome Baby Products!

I love to try new baby products especially if they are organic. My family makes fun of me. My dad always asks if Noah has had his flax oil today.
I abosolutely love all the Earth's Best Organic Foods. Noah digs the snacks and frozen waffles. They have tons of great food online that you can't find in the store.
This gripe water was such a help when Noah had gas or hiccups. It has grapefruit seed extract in it.
I love Dr. Brown's bottles and now they have BPA Free ones. We aren't using these anymore but I will definitely continue with my future kiddos. Noah never had a problem with colic thanks to these.
This sunscreen is safe for babies under 6 months and most aren't. California Baby has many great products and now they sell them at Target!
Noah is absolutely obsessed with Praise Baby. He can't get enough. If I try to put a Baby Einstein in then he crawls over and gets his Praise Baby to bring me.
Earth's Best skincare line rocks. I love the Lavender baby wash.
Annie's organic food is AMAZING. Noah loves the Bunny Grahams.
And Of Course Flax Oil!

Baby Love...knows no boundaries (or gender)

Noah has been spending his time crawling all over the place (Can't get that boy to walk!)
We recently went to Zeb's best friend's Surprise 30th Birthday Party!
Noah played with Chloe (almost 2) and Jake (1 week younger).
Noah thought it would be sweet give Jake french kisses.
Zeb called it "Brokeback baby"-gross
This is the evidence and I'm not going to worry at all. (maybe slightly)

Sweet Noah and Chloe jumping in her crib!
"Noah, give Jake kisses."
Umm..well..Noah...don't..okay
You've been watchin' Mommy and Daddy!
That's more like it!

1 YR OLD!

Noah turned 1 last Saturday and I started a new job this past week.
We had a Construction party. We went a little overboard considering he had no idea about any of it. It was more for the adults anyways:)
Noah's grandpa's first birthday outfit! 47 yrs old!

He didn't like cake. I had to practically shove it in his mouth!

Lookin' so fine!

This weekend we went to Abilene for Zeb's step-sister's wedding. We just had to get Noah a cute little outfit to wear. We made a pit stop in Snyder to have a little dinner fiesta with Zeb's dad's side. Their grandkids are 5,4,3,2,and almost 1. Noah loves to follow the cousins around.

Zeb's mom and step-dad had a hotel room waiting for us when we arrived around 11pm on friday night. She had a crib already set up for Noah in her room and we got a whole room to ourselves! So nice to sleep in!! We hung out on Saturday and went to breakfast and looked all over Abilene for some little boys dress socks. There are zero childrens' stores in their mall. Crazy!

Zeb bought me a new purse. Saweeet! We relaxed in the hotel room and I watched TLC until we got ready for the wedding. The wedding was in a really big historical house built in 1910. Beautiful but cramped. I sat in a corner and stuffed Noah's face with puffs so he would stay quiet. We left during the wedding at got home around midnight. We usually always come back on saturday nights since Zeb works at the church. It was a short but fun weekend.

Our cute little family!

I know I'm cute!

Trying some blueberry pancakes, gravy, and eggs at Cracker Barrel.

Chillin and watchin the tube.
